Remy van Heugten (Heerlen, The Netherlands, 1976) directed several shorts, tv series, commercials and (tv) feature films. He has always had a great interest for socially engaged stories, thriller and (black) comedy. Working with actors is his great passion, with adults as well as children. At this moment he is directing tv drama series and developing several projects for his feature film debut. His great dream.He graduated at the School of Higher Education for Audiovisual Arts in Genk, Belgium in 2000. That same year he started studying direction at the Dutch Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam. His graduation film ‘About Roses’, which he finished in 2004, was awarded for several prizes in The Netherlands and nominated for the 2005 Student Academy Awards (Oscars).
